An enjoyable evening at home with good food

Having had several Banquist meals thanks to my partner, I arranged for a Banquist meal for three to be delivered to me, as I had promised a friend, who was intrigued by the whole idea, that I would cook her a Banquist dinner.
The dinner was a great success and not as complicated to prepare as I would have imagined. The instructions were very clear and the accompanying video very helpful. One small criticism is that the written instructions and the video do not always agree as to the order of preparation of the dishes.
I would have also wanted to have more to do with the actual preparation of the pudding - a delicious panna cotta, which came ready made.
All in all, a good evening was had by all!

There is better out there...

The instructions were not clear at all. Specifically, timings for cooking the meat were wrong, but that was not the only problem. Also, little did I know that the chef wanted the oven on for plus 3 hours as at any given point something from another course had to go in it. Worse, the instructions do not take into consideration that you might want to eat with your guests, let alone have the courses prepared in a way that guests do not want to wait an hour in between courses. A lot of ingredients could have been labelled better or prepared to save hassle later on. The videos did not help with any of the above. They were more geared on the how, technique, rather than what is actually expected to do. There is a great opportunity in the market to have 1st class dining without the hassle and this one did not hot that mark. Nevertheless it was fun and an experience.

We really enjoyed this box - the quality of the ingredients was excellent and the wine was also very nice. There was quite a lot of prep involved but it made a very nice evening


We ordered this to cook with friends on new year's eve, and we all had a fantastic evening!
It was great to have the video alongside the instructions and made making this impressive, incredibly tasty, meal so easy.
I also loved that there was no excess packaging and the majority of it was recyclable.
I would highly recommend!
