Fantastic food with a cookery lesson thrown in!

Having followed Banquist since the start, it was only a matter of time before we decided to take the plunge and order and having been to Alchemila a couple of years ago, the Alex Bond meal seemed the perfect choice. We'd previously had an "at home" box from a local Michelin starred restaurant and were very impressed so thought we knew what we were getting. We were wrong. The one massive difference, and for me, a massively positive difference was the amount of involvement in the Banquist box compared to that of our previous at home experience. This wasn't just a case of reheating and serving, this was so much more involved. I appreciate that, for some people, that may be a negative point but for us, not only did we get to experience a stunning meal, but we also learned some new techniques and recipes which will definitely be used again. The accompanying video was so helpful and watching it through a couple of times meant that we knew exactly what would be required of us. Spending a little time in the afternoon doing as much of the prep as possible meant that the meal itself was stress-free to cook and didn't stop us from being able to relax and enjoy our food. Can't wait to receive the New Years Eve box now. Thanks Banquist and thanks AlexPS - can i have the recipe for the tasty paste!!!

Even though the course was recorded we had a WhatsApp group where there was great camaraderie among the group, sharing ideas, where we could source ingredients in future, with Jonny answering our questions and getting feedback from Theo. We all waited in anticipation for our deliveries each week. Dealing with Banquist was great, Jonny was very accommodating and flexible around delivery times, nice to deal with a small company where customers matter. I am not sure how many were on the course, but it felt nice and personal. I've booked for the Atul and Phil Howard course. It is slightly addictive!

Best decision I've made to buy my first box

We have been doing Banquist boxes since October 2020 having at least one box a month, sometimes two. It started off with just me cooking but now my husband is just as involved as I am. It's bought us even more together as a team. My favourites so far have been Alex Bond's Sea trout ceviche, Jeremy Chang's cote de boeuf, Mike Robinsons Deer Pave, Theo Randall Lemon Tart and Gareth Wards tomahawk steak. I've signed up for 2 of the 4 week cookery courses and can hardly wait.

No, unfortunately we're unable to provide dietary alternatives - but we can advise on substitutions.

Don't worry, the ingredients will stay fresh for 3 days after delivery day.

Depends on the lesson! The videos are 30 mins long, but the cooking time can be up to 4 hours on the most difficult lessons.

Our boxes are insulated for 24 hours, so just stick it in the fridge when you get home.
